Christmas Craft Eve, make your own trinket bowl and table candle from beautiful local oyster shells with Christmas theme hot supper & mince pies.

Ladies this will be our local Christmas get together. Let's get out those Christmas jumpers, sparkle and your creative hats.

The lovely Mel who is a member will talk us through step by step to make your very own Trinket bowls and table candles (Candles - Time permitted) from Oyster shells.  This will be a fun evening creating something Christmassy for you to enjoy your own lovely trinket bowl at home or they will make wonderful gifts.  You can also use the finished shells for salt & pepper-now that would be a lovely conversation starter at the dinner table!

Oyster shells will be supplied, the extra cost covers all the material costs in creating your trinket and candle bowls. Mel has very kindly supplied a lovely raffle prize.

Welcome to our first event in 2025!

New Year New You, have you ever considered increasing your steps? Taking up serious walking?  This can also be a gentle stroll.

WALX Dorset are the local branch of a UK wide club that offer everything from sociable walks, nature and mindfulness walks to their signature exercise and wellness sessions known as Total Body Walking.

These are suitable for all levels from wellness and rehab to full on circuits and the aim is simply to Turn Walking into a Workout! They teach the latest way to walk with poles for a natural effective way to engage the whole body with every step and they work on elements such as balance, strength and functional movement – all in the great outdoors The qualified Instructors and leaders organise over 20 sessions and walks a week in Dorset.

You will meet our local instructors who are based in the Purbecks.

WALX Dorset have an office in Swanage, with immediate plans to open a branch in Wareham. 

They will bring along a few poles for you to try out and anyone from this evening’s event will be offered their first session for free.

They have offered to organise a one off special LLLL Walking Well Wareham Forest Walk – How exciting.
